Welcome The Fitness Unguru

The fitness world is full of misinformation, scams, falsehoods, myths, and lies. I'm here to dispel all of the bad, wrong, and deceitful "facts," expose the fraud, and tell the truth about fitness.

I coined the term, The Fitness Unguru because I don't want to be known as a guru. Most gurus are self-proclaimed experts. I am not an expert. I won't try to be. I've been in and around fitness and the health industry for many years and I know what I know through trial and error (my own, mostly), observation, and research.

I read a little :)

Most of the information you find here is based on solid scientific and medical evidence and good old common sense.

I know what you're thinking: If this stuff is so simple, why do I need to listen to you?

The short answer is: You don't. All the answers exist already. There are lean and muscular people on the planet who don't do any weird stuff – they simply follow "the rules."

But with everybody professing to know what these "rules" are, it's hard to know what and who to believe.

Let's face it: The fitness industry is a MONEY business. Billions – yes, BILLIONS – of dollars are spent every year by folks who want to shape up, lose some weight, or get bigger, stronger, and faster.

Just look at the supplement industry. Do you think they're in this business to make you better?

Think about it this way: If their supplements worked, you'd reach your goals and stop taking their magic elixirs!

They would go broke if they were successful, wouldn't they?

Don't get me wrong. There are valuable supplements out there. They just aren't miracle workers. There is no magic pill, powder, tablet, or liquid. If there was, we'd all look like Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston (I liked them as a couple much better than Angelina Jolie and Brad).

Since none of us do, there must be some other reason that they're so darned fit-looking, right? Sure.

That's enough of me bursting your "get thin quick" balloon. I'm here to tell you that you can reach your fitness goals by following a few simple rules, creating a plan for success, and following through. It takes dedication, determination, and a singular purpose.

Take no prisoners – your perfect you is solely dependent on YOU.
